Ready for a new or redesigned website? We pride ourselves on being flexible and adaptive, ready to pivot to ever-changing business demands to serve your own customers! Here’s the general way we do it.
How we work
The General Steps
1) Contact
Everything begins when you contact JET Web Studio (email, contact form, phone, Facebook, messenger pigeon). We will follow up to discuss your website needs and can usually talk on the phone to get an overview of the project. An in-person or Zoom meeting may be helpful in the case of a complex project or specific design needs.
2) Discover
To understand the details of the project, we will talk about colors, look and feel, and other design topics. JET Web Studio will collaborate with you to understand your business needs and website goals. It’s ok if you don’t know the full scope of the website at this stage. We fully endorse the agile process and rely on frequent communication and feedback to realize the final product.
3) Proposal
Even without a fully defined scope for the website, JET Web Studio will provide you with a proposal outlining the currently estimated cost. This proposal will include information about how we will get started on your website goals and an overview of the schedule. An initial deposit is due at this time. As the project grows, the cost and schedule can be adjusted.
4) Development
JET Web Studio works exclusively with the WordPress platform. To develop your website, we’ll install WordPress, configure plugins, develop custom HTML and CSS, connect the MySQL database, and bring the design to life. We’ll build one page at a time, present it to you for feedback and revisions, and then move on to develop the next page.
5) Design
The majority of our design work is done using Divi, the most popular WordPress building platform that includes a robust visual editor. One of the ways we keep your costs low is by removing the need for purely custom layouts and instead relying on good process and proven efficiency.
6) Hosting
Now that your site is complete, we will set you up with a hosting and maintenance plan that is appropriate for you. You can choose to have JET Web Studio handle your website maintenance, or, if you are a techie and wish to maintain and provide updates to the site yourself, we’ll help you migrate it to your preferred hosting environment.
